Ireland beat Scotland 31-16 in the Autumn Nations Cup third-place play-off match at the Aviva Stadium. A closely contested first-half ended 11-9 in the host's favour after Keith Earls scored a try to add to Johnny Sexton's earlier penalty kicks, whilst Jaco van der Walt kicked Scotland's points. After the break Cian Healy plundered a try for Ireland before Earls crossed for his second.
