Joe Cokanasiga scored the only try of a physical first half to give England a 16-12 lead at the break. Tries from Emiliano Boffelli and Santiago Carreras saw the Pumas take the lead early in the second half. Jack van Poortvliet made an immediate impact as replacement scrum-half when he scored England's second try to narrow the gap.
