England finished a disappointing autumn series with a 27-13 defeat to the Springboks at Twickenham. Owen Farrell and Faf de Klerk exchanged penalties during a scrappy opening quarter. The highlight of the first half came in the 33rd minute when Kurt-Lee Arendse side-stepped Marcus Smith to score a brilliant Springbok try. Drop-goals from Damian Willemse, further penalties from de Klerk, plus an Eben Etzebeth try extended the visitors' lead to 21-points by the hour mark. South African momentum was then halted when Thomas du Toit was sent off for a dangerous challenge.
