The Springboks scored five tries against Wales at Twickenham to earn a 41-13 victory in the Qatar Airways Cup. Despite conceding two tries and having two men sin-binned in the opening 15 minutes, Wales recovered to trail by a single point at half-time thanks to a try from Dewi Lake and penalties from Sam Costelow. Wales were caught flat-footed early in the second half when Makazole Mapimpi was put through to score the Springbok's third try. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu kicked a huge penalty in the 66th minute to edge South Africa further ahead. Moments later, Bongi Mbonambi scored the Springbok's fourth try.
