Australia avoided a series whitewash with a gritty 22-12 victory over the Lions in the final Test in Sydney. The Wallabies struck early with a Dylan Pietsch try, before torrential rain made conditions difficult for both sides. A Tom Lynagh penalty extended the host's lead to 8-0 at half-time. The second half was disrupted by a long delay – first for an injury to James Ryan, then a 30-minute suspension due to lightning. When play eventually resumed, Max Jorgensen crossed for Australia's second try. Jac Morgan got the Lions on the scoreboard with a try in the 62nd minute, but Tate McDermott responded with the Wallabies' third try to restore their cushion.
