Argentina v Scotland Match Reports

Scotland began their Nations Championship campaign with an impressive 47-38 victory over Argentina in Cordoba. Argentina made the brighter start, with sustained early pressure leading to Joaquin Oviedo crossing for the opening try. Scotland responded superbly, with tries from Sione Tuipulotu, Pierre Schoeman and Rory Hutchinson giving the visitors a 19-10 lead at half-time. The Pumas made another fast start to the second half, with Rodrigo Isgro scoring shortly after the restart to cut the deficit. Scotland again hit back through Gregor Brown and Scott Cummings to extend their lead. Tomas Rapetti gave Argentina hope with his 66th-minute try, but Scotland sealed victory with further tries from Gregor Hiddleston and Kyle Rowe.
