Argentina secured a comfortable 35-21 victory over Wales in their second-round Nations Championship clash in San Juan. Dewi Lake scored after just three minutes to give Wales the perfect start, but Argentina immediately hit back through Joaquin Oviedo. Justo Piccardo added a second Pumas try in the 15th minute to put the hosts ahead. Rhys Carre scored a trademark try as Wales drew level, but Marcos Kremer and Santiago Carreras crossed before the break to give Argentina a 28-14 half-time lead. Oviedo completed his brace with a fifth Argentine try after the restart to extend the hosts' advantage.
