England scored eleven tries as they thrashed Fiji 73-8 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. England dominated the first half, scoring five tries through Marcus Smith, Jamie George, Guy Pepper, Benhard Janse van Rensburg and Seb Atkinson. Fiji thought they had scored on the stroke of half-time, but the try was ruled out and Simione Kuruvoli was sent off for serious foul play in the build-up as the hosts trailed 35-3 at the break. Despite being down to 14 men, Fiji scored first after the restart through Tevita Ikanivere in the 48th minute. England quickly regained control, however, with further tries from Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, Henry Slade and Noah Caluori before Henry Pollock completed a second-half hat-trick to seal England's biggest-ever victory over Fiji.
